Jerrell
Jones

Curator Engineer Designer Enthusiast

I design and build software end to end and bring the same fuss over the details to a shot of espresso, the sound of a record on the platter, and the next mod for the STi.

About

Equal parts engineer and designer, with a curator’s habit of collecting things worth keeping.

I design and build complete products; the SwiftUI screen you tap, the TypeScript service behind it, and the seams where the two meet. Most of what’s below I took from idea to shipped, usually on my own but sometimes with help.

I care about the parts people feel but rarely name: the timing of a transition, the wording of an empty state, the weight of a headline, the color palette your eyes digest. The collecting instinct spills past software, too — records, recipes, car parts, ideas — and I have an enthusiast’s habit of going a little too deep on all of them.

Passions

Off the clock

Five collections I keep tending, most of them, not coincidentally, the reason a few of the projects below exist.

  • P·01

    The perfect cup

Dialing in espresso until the shot pulls just right, then doing it all again the next morning.

  • P·02

    Records, spinning

There’s a ritual to dropping the needle that streaming has never once matched.

  • P·03

    The ’04 WRX STi

A 2004 Subaru WRX STi and an ever-growing list of mods. The garage is where I do some of my best work.

  • P·04

    Multi-media pieces

Layering photography, type, and found textures into work that refuses to sit in a single medium.

  • P·05

    Showing up

The work I’m proudest of will never ship: being there, on purpose, for the people who matter.
